Fear Not #4

1 Peter 5:7New American Standard Bible (NASB)

casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.

*Not quite "fear not," but "don't worry" also seems appropriate!

Fear Not #3

1 John 4:18New American Standard Bible (NASB)

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

Fear Not #2

Revelation 2:10New American Standard Bible (NASB)

10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Revelation 2:10King James Version (KJV)

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Revelation 2:10The Message (MSG)

10 “Fear nothing in the things you’re about to suffer—but stay on guard! Fear nothing! The Devil is about to throw you in jail for a time of testing—ten days. It won’t last forever.
“Don’t quit, even if it costs you your life. Stay there believing. I have a Life-Crown sized and ready for you.

Fear Not #1

There was a meme floating around Pinterest recently that mentioned that the Bible says "fear not" 366 times - 1 for every day of the year (even in a leap year).  After some searching, I found that this pops up again and again, but couldn't find a set list of verses.  So... I don't know if there are truly 366 references, but each time I find it in my reading I'll post it on this blog since I do want to keep track.  Maybe there aren't 366 verses.  Maybe there are more.  I'm interested to see how it all turns out.

Fear Not #1

Revelation 1:17-18King James Version (KJV)

17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Revelation 1:17-18New American Standard Bible (NASB)

17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,18 and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.
